Three cheers for the loyal opposition. There was, however, none. The senate chamber sat nearly empty at one of the most important hearings in the nation’s history. In fact, at one point, Republican senators occupied one of 12 chairs at the Senate confirmation hearing of soon-to-be Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. By the end of the hearing only six senators were present. This is the very image of defeatism and irresponsibility. And that is the reason that America is drowning beneath the wave of socialism and facing an era where freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to pursue life and happiness will be swallowed up by the leviathan of federal government, history’s new handmaiden to the one world order.
Moreover, representation exemplified by these spineless purveyors of compromise and common ground for the common good, is no representation at all. Americans are angry and disgusted with their Congress, giving it the lowest approval ratings of nearly two centuries, yet it is the American public that continues to vote for these amoral scoundrels whose primary purpose in life is to perpetrate their existence by making gullible people think they are doing their job. In reality, they are a disgrace to the Republic, a menace to the well being of society, a treasonous bunch that in times when men were men and patriots, these so-called elected officials would have been tarred, feathered and ran out of town.
Christians, as represented by some of the most powerful ministries and pro-family organizations ever seen in the history of this nation, must take to the streets and demand their rights as citizens and as patriots. Christian ministries that hide behind faxes and civil brown-nosing to politicians that give them ear and the feeling of power, need to become more concerned about the issues that are destroying souls in our nation rather than how much money they can extract beyond the tithe from even more gullible people than the electorate. We either must determine that our country is lost and we must deal with it like Christians do in the third world, or that our nation is worth the fight and to take the appropriate action.
Ephesians 6:13 says, “Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Further, verses 19-20 pray, “that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly as I ought to speak.” If not, your taxes will fund more abortion; you will not be able to quote scripture against immorality such as homosexuality; Islamic interests who have bought and paid for our politicians will be running our foreign policy; and America’s Christian heritage, the light among the nations, will be hidden underground. Choose this day who you will serve.
