Did the people who elected for “change” in America really know the extent of “changes” that an administration under the new President would bring? The forefront of change is coming by first changing the civil rights of America. The President has stated that this nation is going to live up to its founding promise of equality by treating all citizens with dignity and respect. That sounds like liberty and justice.

But from the first day, change had begun in the deconstruction of society and traditional values by the Obama administration.

Consider Obama’s immediate “civil rights” goals as posted on the White House website within an hour of his swearing in.

He’s moving to protect cross-dressing and transgendered individuals in the workplace and schools; expand hate crime laws which would allow the federal government to prosecute and punish for crimes perceived to be motivated by prejudice based on actual or perceived gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity of the victim; repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) which only recognizes man-woman unions as legal marriages; push for full civil unions and federal recognition of homosexual couples with marriage benefits; repeal the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” Policy which says a person who openly declares to be homosexual cannot serve in the armed forces of the U.S. because of the moral risks associated; use the federal government to expand to homosexuals the right to adopt children, push for more sex education and contraception in schools and all of society, and lift the federal ban on needle exchange which would allow federal funding for needle exchange programs (providing more clean needles).

In order for these changes to be effective, however, there must be individuals in positions of authority who will support them. This would seem to be the case, for example, in the recent confirmation of Arne Duncan as Secretary of Education.

Just last year, Arne Duncan caused concern in Chicago when he proposed a high school which would be explicitly homosexual friendly with half of the students being expected to openly indentify themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. The proposal didn’t get accepted, however. But a revision of the plan is supposed to be presented before the fall of 2010.

Consider these “changes” in the light of some famous and documented quotes.

Josef Stalin, Marxist and Communist leader (1879-1953) of the USSR said, “Education is a weapon, whose effect depends on who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed.” And he said, “America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within.”

Barack Obama, prior to his election as President, said regarding his college days, “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully,” the Democratic presidential candidate wrote in his memoir, “Dreams From My Father.” “The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.”

What kind of “change” is coming to our nation? Let’s be sure to pray about it.
